The City of Bothell, WA is excited to announce that we are recruiting for an experienced fire and emergency professional and collaborative leader to be the next Deputy Fire Chief – Operations. The successful candidate will manage the daily operations of the Bothell Fire Department and will provide management oversight of Battalion Chiefs in the areas of training, emergency preparedness, and support services. Reporting to the Fire Chief, the selected candidate will work in a department that values tradition, but strives to be progressive and forward thinking.
The Deputy Fire Chief will play a major role in implementing the Fire Department’s recently adopted strategic plan that focuses on areas such as: asset management, succession and workforce planning, community relations, and health and wellness. The selected candidate will understand the value of being proactive in the community and will be able to build trust and positive working relationships throughout the City. This individual will also need to understand the complexities of operating a Fire Department in a service area that includes multiple jurisdictions and be able to ensure compliance with the regulatory requirements of multiple layers of government.
This position offers a salary within the range of $126,708.00 – $161,100.00 annually and a competitive municipal benefits package.
