In Memoriam

Martha A. Bice While cutting fire breaks at a brush fire, Firefighter Martha Bice experienced chest pains and then collapsed. She was rushed to the hospital, where it was determined that she had suffered a heart attack. She underwent triple bypass surgery and was sent home, but died two days later as a result of complications.
