Dennise M. LeslieDennise M. Leslie, a volunteer firefighter with the Coal City, Indiana, Fire Department, was killed on Monday afternoon, July 2, while responding to a fire call.
According to the Owen County Sheriff's Office, Leslie, who was 37, was driving to the fire station to get an engine to take to a field fire. She swerved to avoid an oncoming vehicle and lost control of her pickup truck, which rolled and hit a tree. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
